The story of Shetland 2000

In 1997 a journey began. It was, “…a journey to further and strengthen the value of coloured fleece” (link to blog). This journey began as a partnership between Jamieson & Smith and a company (now closed), based in Maryland, called Yarns International.

From this partnership came a line of yarn, Shetland 2000 (now known as Shetland Supreme). Betty Lindsay, one of the owners of Yarns International was referred to by Oliver Henry as the Sheep Saver.
